Appointments, Fees & Insurance
Human Service Center
Fees are based on per hour charges for outpatient services and per day fees for inpatient and residential care. Insurance is accepted, and individuals are billed the portion not covered by insurance. Medicaid covers most of the treatment services provided. Medicaid and Medicare are also accepted for services provided by our psychiatric staff, which includes psychiatrists and an advance practice nurse certified in psychiatry.
Human Service Center recognizes that one of the barriers to seeking help is the cost of treatment. Many customers qualify for financial assistance, including individuals covered by private insurance.
Financial assistance is available through funding provided to our organization by the Illinois Department of Human Services. Individuals making application for financial assistance can qualify either by meeting family income standards and/or by hardship guidelines.
Individuals who qualify for funding must allow Human Service Center to bill any available third party payers, and authorize and require that insurance benefits be paid directly to the agency.
When individuals qualify for funding, their out-of-pocket cost is minimal
| Chemical dependency treatment | $50 This covers a single episode that may encompass several levels of both inpatient and outpatient care |
| Adult Mental Health programs | $50 fee |
| Psychiatric Services | $2 co-pay per visit |
| Methadone Services | A weekly fee of $10 or $40 may be required. |
| Youth & Family Services | No out-of-pocket cost for counseling |
BHA and True North are part of the CAT Network and our Counselors are included under most insurance plans and preferred provider networks. Employees of contracting EAP companies have no out-of-pocket cost for services outlined in their employer contract (please check with your employer).
