NirdeFred Nirdé, LCSW, CPA

Fred Nirdé became President and CEO of Fayette Companies June 14, 2010. 

Mr. Nirdé brings a diverse background of clinical, finacnial, and administrative experiences and education.  His previous work in IL Dept. of Mental Health, community agencies, and hospital settings give him the ideal background to navigate an ever changing future where the Human Service Center will continue to adapt and grow. 



PrewettGerd Prewett

As vice president and chief financial officer, Gerd Prewett provides oversight and direction for  the financial functions for Fayette Companies and its related organizations.  Areas of oversight include grant management, budget processes, fiscal monitoring, cash management, human resources, management information services, and individual services systems. 

Prewett received her public accountant certification through the University of Illinois in 1983.  She received her B.S. in accounting from the University of Stockholm in Sweden and previously worked in auditing at Price Waterhouse in Peoria.  She serves on the board of the Peoria Production Shop and is a member of the finance committee for the Heart of Illinois United Way and the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce.



KennedyMike Kennedy

Mike Kennedy is Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the Human Service Center (HSC) and White Oaks.  Kennedy joined the Human Service Center in 1976.  He oversees the clinical and administrative programs for HSC and White Oaks.  Since being promoted to vice president in 1991, Kennedy’s interest has been in the development of clinical and administrative skills of the direct service and supervisor staff. 

Kennedy has a wide range of experience within the Human Service Center and has worked as an activity therapist in a day treatment program, live-in manager at a residential facility, direct service provider and then supervisor of a community-based crisis program for youth, and then as a prevention specialist for adolescents.  He received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in special education.



GeorgeDr. Susan George

As Vice President of Clinical Services, Dr. Susan George oversees the quality and practice of non-medical clinical services and provides leadership for implementing evidence-based treatments in addictions and mental health.

Dr. George received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Northwestern University in 1993.  She completed a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Chicago in 2000.  Dr. George most recently worked as the supervising clinical psychologist for the Department of Women’s Justice Services at the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, while maintaining a private practice in Chicago.  Prior to that, she was a child and adolescent clinical psychologist at Methodist Medical Center of Illinois.

Dr. George has served as a consultant to the United Nations Children’s Fund in both Rwanda and Liberia.  Her recent research has focused on incarcerated women and how this affects their families and employment opportunities once released.



PintoArun Pinto, M.D.

Arun Pinto, M.D., is chief medical officer and vice president at Fayette Companies.  He is a working psychiatrist and supervises staff physicians, as well as provides oversight for contractual physicians who work at company facilities.  He also directs the dispensary at the Human Service Center.  Dr. Pinto holds an appointment as a professor in the Department of  Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria, where he teaches third year medical students and family practice residents.

Prior to working at Fayette Companies, Dr. Pinto was the chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine at Methodist Medical Center.    He was also a part-time medical director for the  Department of Psychiatry at Methodist.

Dr. Pinto received his medical degree from Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India.  He completed a residency in adult psychiatry at Tulane University Affiliated Hospitals in 1977 and followed with a fellowship in child psychiatry at the same institution.  He is board certified in adult, child, and adolescent psychiatry.



LovelandDavid Loveland Ph.D.

David Loveland, Ph.D. serves as Director of Research at Fayette Companies.  His responsibilities include grant writing, coordination of research for several federally funded programs, supervising a clinical internship program, staff training and evaluation, and the dissemination of research. Dr. Loveland also holds an adjunct faculty position at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria.


Dr. Loveland received his Ph.D. in ecological/community psychology from Michigan State University in 2002.  He completed a master’s degree in psychology from the State University of New York in 1992.  His research interests include supportive employment.

 



MooreDavid Moore, M.S.
Vice President of Quality Improvement

David Moore is the Vice President of Quality Improvement and works with staff to review and revise clinical processes for quality improvement for mental health and substance abuse programs and implement evidence-based practices.

David serves as Change Leader for process improvement teams utilizing principles from the Network for the Improvement of Addiction Treatment (NIATx) and instructs other change leaders from across the country regarding process improvement techniques.  He holds a bachelor of arts degree from Bradley University and a master’s in public administration from the University of Illinois at Springfield.



LawsonTerry Lawson

Terry Lawson has worked for the organization since December, 1976 and in Human Resources since 1980.  She is responsible for management of Human Resources for the entire corporation.  Lawson attended college at Ambassador College in Pasadena, California and received her certification in Human Resources (PHR) in 1997.
